Holistic chiropractic and nutrition Help Center

These are the questions prospective patients most often ask when deciding whether a consultation is appropriate.

What happens at the first consultation?

The visit begins with your concerns, goals, and relevant health history. An appropriate examination or nutrition assessment may follow. Dr. Kim should explain findings, ask for consent, discuss options and limitations, and clarify the next step.

Which type of consultation should I choose?

Chiropractic consultations focus primarily on movement, comfort, and musculoskeletal function. Nutrition consultations focus on food patterns, lifestyle, supplements, and related goals. Contact the office if you are unsure where to begin.

Will treatment happen at the first visit?

It may or may not. The decision depends on the history, evaluation, informed consent, and whether care is appropriate. You should not feel pressured to start immediately.

Will I need a long treatment plan?

Recommendations should be individualized and connected to clear goals. Ask when progress will be reviewed, what happens if you are not improving, whether maintenance care is optional, and when referral or discharge may be appropriate.

Are functional lab tests always required?

No. A test should have a clear purpose and be considered only when the result may change care. Ask about evidence, limitations, alternatives, and possible separate charges.

Can Dr. Kim coordinate with my other clinicians?

With appropriate permission and within professional scope, relevant information may be coordinated with primary care, physical therapy, dietetics, or other clinicians. Confirm the actual record-sharing process with the office.

When should I seek medical care first?

Emergency or concerning symptoms require appropriate medical evaluation. A website cannot determine urgency. Review the safety and scope page and call emergency services when needed.

How do I join the waiting list?

Call (808) 256-5900 or use the general contact form. Do not submit personal health information through the website.
